and Oculus is mostly OK, as long as you're still within your warranty. In fact, as far as current, on going support goes, Valve is shit. In no way is Valve a better or more worthy company than Oculus. Team VR in the last year has been more "Team Oculus" than "Team Steam." They're spending the money, they're building the infrastructure. Then let's all get together and play some Echo Arena. My Steam backlog is stupidly, stupendously huge. I will never catch up and finish all the games I own. Can I use it today? Can I play it today? Does it work now? Does it do what I want it to do now? I own both headsets, so it doesn’t bother me at all. If it’s available on both, I simply opt to make the purchase on Steam. But for this one it's saying 'Failed to initialize Oculus VR session. Typically with a few of the other games I've done with this method, all I had to do was launch Virtual Desktop, double click the exe and away we go. Valid points on both sides, but I don’t mind bouncing between Steam and the Oculus store. I grabbed a public file of Lone Echo and put it on my desktop.
